Fixture list decongestion

Kevin Gallacher is making a good point in the press today about that spell of matches where we never had a game two weeks running.

It couldn't have helped the team one bit and with a more settled fixture list for the remainder of the season we should fare better. I guess you can be a victim of your cup failure as well as a victim of the success.

Incidentally, Robson is saying that the squad will be back for pre-season training on July 6th, regardless if we are in the Intertoto Cup or not.

I agree DB....but I have to say that it would've helped more if we weren't SHIT.....

Ahh I forgot the fact that we are shite!

Robson is saying that the next stage in the transfer market will be to buy quality. He goes on to say that he cannot afford to fail with the summer signings. I hope, whoever they are, they are prepared to work under pressure and give it their best shots.

Any kind of shot would be better than trying to walk it over the line like we currently do ;))

The lack of actual matches could certainly be a problem, but then wouldn't it make sense to use that time to train a bit harder? I could be wrong, but weren't the players given more than the usual 1 day off during down weeks? With no real difference in their training when they were there?
