Man and woman loading logs into their truck...

The logs came from our property...

The man and woman had to trespass to get the logs...

They had an entire truck load of logs that didn't belong to them...

Unarmed and crazy I confronted them...

Told them to put each and every log back exactly where they had been found...

In silence they began to obey...

Their unexpected surrender calmed the beast...

I told them they were thieves but they could take it all and more...

Told them they were trespassers but take it all, take it all, other thieves have before and will again...

Then the woman said she was afraid of me and the man said he was sorry...

And I apologized too...

They probably won't take wood from any place ever again...

Wood is not a reason for warfare...

And momma says I might have been killed doing that.

How about posting some scary signs---Trepassers will be Prosecuted, Beware of Dogs, etc? Can't hurt.
