Good: Taggart and Izzet are out

Bad: If Leicester loses it would mark the longest losing streak in their history.

Howay lads, let's not keep another team from developing/maintaining an unwanted record!

Isn't Matt Elliot out as well?

If so Shola and Cort up front, Gavilan and Gallacher as wingers and get the ball into the box with all out attack tactic, early goal will settle the lads and Leicester will get nervous.

Matt Elliot is our for the rest of the season!

Peter Taylor remains hopeful that Frank Sinclair, Dean Sturridge and Matt Jones will be fit to face Newcastle on Saturday.

Depleted squad with no confidence, sounds like us a few weeks back but these points are there for the taking!

This is the exact point at which our bunch of feckless tossers sit back and rest on their non-existent laurels every time. Hopefully their fans will spare us "The Great Escape" :-(

"doot doot, doot do do doot doot, doot doot do do do do do doot doot........................"

Can already hear it Softie. Something do do with sitting back on my non-existent laurels, methinks! LOL.

I realy hope that BR picks, LuaLua, Griffin and Gavilan for the Saturday game, and that they all have a stormer. What's the point in playing players that won't be with us next season such as Gallacher, Cordone and Barton?

Don't panic - Barton will be with us next season!

I think, if he doesn't mind being a squad player and maybe only getting a handful of games at a reduced salary, we should give Gallacher another 1 yr contract. The last few games suggest he still has something to offer. Of course if all our other strikers stay fit, he's unlikely to be used at all.

I think it depends on what transfer activity there really is to be during this close season, ciara.
If we brought in say 2 decent strikers and top class two m/f players (unlikely, I know) then there just wouldn't be enough pegs in the dressing room. However, unless we are to likely to find our selves in that situation I personally think Gallacher would be well worth another 12 month contract.
He is still pretty fit, a proven commodity, hard-working, is very versatile, seems to be a good character, and he's here.
I said on another thread, we could easily spend £3-4 million for a squad player and find he's nowhere near as good as Gallacher.

IC Newc say Robson will give Glass a run out against Leicester. Bobby is saying Glass is a good player who gives us a good balance on the left. So why do we continually play with three central midfielders Bobby???

Hopefully this will bring out Quinn a bit more knowing Glass can help him out on the wing.

All in place: Newcastle face a team with loads of injuries and no wins in about 8 games and are 100% guaranteed to lose. It's the law.

Glad you see it the same as me Dougal....

On the local radio station here at Leicester , they reckon Savage is doubtful too.
