Bill and Hillary Clinton might have had to pay for their Spring Break vacation in the Dominican Republic themselves, but that doesn't mean they still can't attract freebies. They've just received a great deal from old friend James Wolfensohn, head of the World Bank, a job he holds thanks to the Clintons. While it isn't a warm and sunny locale, both Clintons have received invitations to speak at a World Bank conference this July in St. Petersburg, Russia, according to a World Bank budget analyst who has been privy to initial planning for the event. Bill will be paid his standard $125,000 speaking fee. Hill will speak gratis.

It will be like homecoming weekend for the Clintons back in Mother Russia. According to the analyst, Wolfensohn is also expected to fly Madeleine Albright and Clinton-nominated Supreme Court justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer out for the conference, which has been titled "Empowerment, Security and Opportunity Through Law and Justice." The subtext: an appointment by the Clintons means a lifetime of opportunity for the Clintons and their appointees.
