Oh yes, just 'cos our beloved black & white win f**k all hasn't stopped their fans being winners.Last night, after some 4 years of occasional effort we won the pub quiz! Not only that but we also had a winner for the snowball competition! AND we got a free round of drinks for winning!
Plenty of broon last night, so keep the noise down, eh.
You too can be a winner if you can correctly guess the snoball question we had last night. How much was the prize money for the winner of the 1st Pools competition in 1929?

Clue 1 - it was a whole figure (none of your poond, shillin' and pence nonsense).

£42

I presume you mean 20 guineas (sp?) Macbeth? (that's right isn't it - £40 plus 40 bob?)I'll go for 100 guineas - £105

That clue might be misleading...I meant it was a whole figure in pounds only.Even at the time it was only a fair sum.

As you are all so obviously eager to know the answer (sarccy twat) it was £150 - the answer won my neighbour £39. That's decimalisation for you...
