Does anyone have the inner diameter measurement for Canon's Tripod Mount Ring A (either the Black 'B' or White 'W' version) ? I want to buy this mount to use on my Canon FD 300mm f4 lens. I have heard this lens has the same dimensions as the original EOS EF 300mm f4 which is supposed to use the Tripod Mount Ring A. I want to make sure before buying this tripod mount. Also, anyone have a used one for sale? Thanks so much. ~matt

Now, I offer this information without any warrenty as to it's accuracy. You should try it yourself before buying.

2 9/16 inches, when locked. If you want it, the black "A(B)" version cost about $80 at B & H.
