Ananova : Bush bans sex films from Air Force One

George W Bush has ordered that X-rated sex and violence be cut from in-flight movies on Air Force One.

Reporters flying with the US president have noted he has cut any offensive material from the films. They say Bill Clinton always ran the uncut versions of X-rated Hollywood blockbusters during flights.

The change is part of Bush's promise to "restore the honour and dignity to the White House", reports the US News & World Washington Whispers column.

It claims that, during the Clinton years, Air Force One always ran uncensored versions of Hollywood's "filth and violence".

It was the kind of films Clinton and Gore regularly condemned when they were talking up family values, adds the column.

Whispers reports: "Scribes remember awkward moments during the Monica Lewinsky scandal when former President Clinton briefed the press during several steamy scenes."

Last November, an elite Marine guard stationed at Camp David claimed on a Washington radio station that the presidential retreat at Camp David was littered with pornography during the Clintons' tenure

Well, shit, if that's what he intended then why didn't he allow a full count of Florida votes?

Article: "Bill Clinton always ran the uncut versions of X-rated Hollywood blockbusters during flights."

Uh, in case anyone has failed to notice, Hollywood studios consider an X rationg to be the kiss of death at the box office. They will go to great lengths to have an X rating reduced to an R rating.

Normally a film would need to pull in at least $100 million to be considered anything like a "blockbuster". Far from churing out X rated "blockbusters", can anyone here name even ONE X rated Hollywood film that has done even $20 million at the box office since 1990, when the Clintons might have showed one on Air Force One?

Ain't's dry cleaning lady, the ball is in your court to show why this piece of reportage should be granted credence? What the hell hat did you pull it out of, anyway?

Damn it, Nipper, you beat me to the punch. :-)

this may come as a surprise to some of you but there are versions of movies for release in other countries that are different than the version released here in the states. stateside versions are more puritanically inclined. Sore losers and uneducated. must be democrats.

Mr. Pinochle, you claim I am "uneducated." Fair enough. You claim to know more than I do. Fair enough. Now, prove it. Educate me. Name an X rated Hollywood "blockbuster" since 1992.

After that, we can discuss whether the X rated version of the film you reference was ever shown on Air Force One. But for now, a title would be a good starting place in my education.
