pore pressure

I,m wasn't in class when pore pressure was discussed so I,m a little confused as to what it is exactly, and how does it effect mass wasting? What exactly do I need to know about pore pressure?

Pores are the spaces within a rock, these pores are filled with water, and the stress that the water puts on the rock is it's "pore pressure". Look at the notes on the internet for the Hydrologic Cycle and Groundwater for more information.
