Comment Differentiation

greenspun.com : LUSENET : hylights : One Thread

Peter,

Another thing I notice is that linked comments are undifferentiated. What I mean is: Take the jasper 1 document, select multiple readers and you will notice that for example, in the first paragraph there are several different segments of that paragraph that have been commented by different readers, but you cannot see that visually. The only way you would realize it is if you are very observant and notice the link outline when you click it. Otherwise, you would miss the fact that other parts of the paragraph are actually commented seperately by different readers. Also, the return home link at the bottom of the page is highlighted green as well.

I am assuming that in the future, java scripts could be used to display number of readers, or names of readers who selected a highlighted area, by mousing over the colored text?
