ONE YEAR PLUS, EMERY CRASH STILL KEEPING INVESTIGATORS BUSY: Emery Worldwide Airlines Flight 17, a DC-8-71F, on a scheduled cargo flight out of Sacramento, Calif., crashed shortly after takeoff February 16, 2000. All three crew members aboard were killed. Now, examination of the wreckage has found indications that a push-rod in an elevator control tab may have been separated from the control system. The NTSB is currently attempting to determine exactly when that disconnect occurred. FDR data for the accident aircraft's previous landing indicates an irregularity that might indicate the disconnect was suffered at that time....
