Seems a bit of a knee jerk reaction!!

Everton midfielder Alex Nyarko has sensationally announced his decision to quit football after personal abuse from a fan during the 4-1 defeat at Arsenal.

Nyarko - a £4.5m summer buy from Lens -pleaded to be substituted in the 70th minute after a supporter ran on to the pitch and offered to swap shirts.

He said: "This is the fourth or fifth time this has happened and that's it. I'm finished with football."

More likely finished with football in the English Premiership. I'm sure Everton would want to recoup any outlay they made for his services. What was behind it? Is he playing sh!te or is there something more sinister??

He has been playing absolute shite recently, and apparently he has been 'abused' several times at matches, at training and in the streets of Merseyside.

The incident on saturday was the icing on the cake apparently when the guy ran on and told him to swap shirt and f**k off as he could do better. Tony Adams got the bloke off, but the pics on MOTD showed that Nyarko was absolutely stunned by it all.

He then apparently demanded to be taken off and when he was, he marched past everyone went to the dressing room got changed and bogged off without speaking to anyone other than saying he was quitting football altogether.

The latest on it reckons that he intends to break his contract (at whatever cost) and never play again......the best that Everton can hope for is a him buying back his contract.......no transfer fee.

We'll see......it'll certainly be interesting.

BTW isn't it ironic that the Sun/NOTW refer to the bloke who ran onto the pitch as being 'mindless moron' - yet they eulogise and hold up as some kind of a god that Power's fella who joined in the Manure line up......now I wonder why that was.
