Can this be real? I see no disclaimer....

I tried to check everything on the page to see if it was a prank, but oddly enough, I think it's for real? Unless there are laws against eating human meat. I mean, canabalism isn't killing and eating man, it's eating human... so I think it is against the law.

I'm so confused and grossed out right now.

I have to shower!

how did you FIND that?

I'm pretty sure it's a hoax. Check out this website:

It's still a pretty disturbing site. Yuck...

Sort of reminds me of the Bonzai Kittie page I stumbled on... It was a site that had instructions on how to mold your kittie into a rectelinier shape by stuffing it in a bottle for a few months. They glue the anus shut and feed it with tubes and stuff. I almost puked when I saw it. I was assured though that it was a fake. *phew*

I just happened to stumble upon it, following link after link. I'm so disturbed. It's not in the U.S.....someone order something and see what you get, then tell everyone!

As for bonsai kitten, I enjoy that almost as much as http://www.cat-scan.com/

Less disturbing as the manbeef, here comes hats of meat! http://www.hatsofmeat.com/ They're hats...made out of meat.

How's this for an idea... http://www.cadaverinc.com

I find it kind of amusing that most of the people who are disturbed by even people pretending to eat human meat eat cow, etc. themselves. I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm also really not into saying that it's okay to eat some animals but gross to eat others or saying that some species' lives are more valuable than others. (It's counter-intuitive to eat one's own species in terms of biology/evolution, for the most part, so I would not be as amused by someone who didn't want to eat human meat but did want to eat cow meat, but just thinking about it is disgusting? Yeah, that amuses me.)

And now, a vegetarians point of view: I thought it was hilarious !! I sent it to every carnivore i know ( even got some people pissed off at me !! ) People are so hung up with eatin meat; let em eat MANBEEF !!! the ultimate steak !! but realisticly, it's probably a satire for the film Hannibal....probably a PR gimmick

So, James, do you think that humans are less valuable than animals?

bree -- do you think animals are less valuable than humans? why is it okay to eat cow meat but it's "disturbing" to think about eating human meat? both are dead flesh.

Hmmm.. I bet Maria's pretty tasty.

-- Anonymous, April 28, 2001

it's disturbing because a person cannot interact with a cow before they eat it.

No, Bree, I don't think humans are less valuable than other animals (the word "other" is important...calling non-human animals "animals" as though humans are not is an unconscious way in which people continue the way of thinking that humans are more valuable) nor do I think they are more valuable. I do not think that the value of any one life can be quantified as more "valuable" than another (except financially, I suppose, but that isn't really what we're talking about here.)

And a person can spend time with a cow before eating it.. it just doesn't usually happen that way (animals that are killed for food tend to get an average of 12 minutes of human contact in their short lives [and, of course, in many other ways live in terrible conditions.]) Spending time with a cow might not be very interesting because they aren't very intelligent animals, but we also eat pigs, which are within the top 5 of the most intelligent animals, IIRC.
