SHT- Solar Region 9393 returns - Now 9433

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News : One Thread

This was the region that blew the X20-22 flare a few weeks ago, at the edge of the disk. When it first rotated back into view, it was a yawner, but in the last 24 hours has developed quickly and getting much more complex. It's about 2 days from disk center. If it continues to develop at this pace, and decides to pop a big one in the right location, could be fun....

WOW.....I do think it is scary, I think it feels like the sun on my skin is more intense, I have been staying in till the sun is behind the trees.

SAR, it may be psychological, but I've "felt" the sun's intensity increase drmatically over the last several months, also.

It is slowing down... from jumping from a 14 numbered region to a 46, it only went to 47 in the last 24 hours...

I'll scream if it goes for the gold...

Region 9433 developed further with many new spots emerging. There are currently three magnetic deltas, the strongest is near the large trailing penumbra with the weaker ones located near the center and near the leading spots. The region has a high potential for producing a major X class flare.

Well, it jumped from 48 spots this morning to 76 tonight... it's center disk now, suppose it's too freaking much to ASK THE DAMN THING TO BLOW NOW????

shit...

Yes Carl, it IS too freaking much to ask that the damned thing blow now.

All I want is for the Aurora to be visible over Ventura, California, on a clear night with no marine layer....

That's all, just once....
