AN ODE TO OLD AGE:

Ahemmmm!!!!!

I`m not a girlie any more. I`m not even a chick. My hormones are deserting me. I`m developing a tick!

I`ve got a saggy bottom. My front is slipping too - I`m losing teeth and gaining chins. My pulling days are through!

I own two pairs of glasses, And a hoist and separate bra, And thigh and tummy tucking pants, And a little Noddy car.

I`m told age isn`t important - That it`s all just in the mind, But I`ve just looked in the mirror and - I think it`s gone to my behind!

I`m looking in the mirror, And I still feel twenty one, But the woman looking back at me Could be Methusela`s Mum!

Next I`ll be wearing purple, And buying silly hats, And buttoning up my cardigan wrong While chatting to the cats.

Now I could get very maudling, Might even get unhappy - May even go quite round the band - (If I wasn`t already dappy)!

Better pull myself together - Put on a happy face. I`m the resident cockeyed optimist - Can`t mope about the place.

Seriously, if you have to bring the car forget parking in the town centre, try the Cattle Market at the end of Scotswood Road.

Steph......I believe my cousin will drop us off on Saturday - we`ll probably be heading up to town mid morning anyway. We`re staying in Whitley Bay. Had circumstances been different, we would have stayed at a hotel in town for the week, but because of what happened with Dad and everything, I have lots of family stuff to do - so I may as well stay with my cousin.

Tuesday I`m probably going to have to drive in - but I may well spend the whole day up there with Yelli. Mind you, we could just use the Metro couldn`t we, then I would be able to have a bit of a noggin on Tuesday too! (:o)

Galaxy.....when I stayed at Whitley and went to the match....I drove up the Coast Road, along Sandyford Road and then parked in the pay and display behind the Civic Centre.

Always been safe for me, and when you get back to the car you don't have to fight it through loads of people on foot in the town, just straight back down Sandyford Road and off you go.
