My life keeps me too busy to read every day or comment, so I tend to lurk, but I appreciate the forum. Any resource that helps people practice self-reliance is a Good Thing.

By the way, a few weeks back somebody asked what kind of hippo I was. I picked the handle on account of a statue of Taurt that is in front of the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose. Taurt was supposed to be a household goddess that took the form of a hippo and brought good luck to infants. I suppose the Egyptians came up with that because mother hippos are very protective of their offspring. I'm not a Rosicrucian, nor am I a mother, but something about the idea sounded right to me.

There was once a SciFi book in which a minor but telling character was named "Maybeso" (all the vowels are long, the a, the e, and the o). The race was ursine and had an interesting intuitive grasp of quantum mechanics. (gads don't ask the name or the author, it's been 10 or more years)

Anyway Maybeso might or might not be ANYWHERE at ANY time.

I'm kinda like Maybeso.
