Try a book. A good long modern biography will likely answer your questions in detail. One I know is usually available is Silverman's "A Mournful and Everlasting Remembrance." His poems are very personal though wrapped in symbols, stories sometines subconsciously reveal details,ideas and feelings from his life- though again there are far from autbiographical. Obsession mixed with reticence is one of the self-contradictions of Poe. Try some articles at the Poe Decoder site.
