Micheal Bennett

I like this pick!!!! It would have been great to get D line help, but the value wasn't there. Looking at the way the board fell, most of the quality D linemen were gone, and the run at DB had taken place. After Middlebrooks went, it came down to Smoot, Bennett and Will Allen. Smoot fell hard, and listening to what they said on ESPN after the 'skins took him, it would have been a bit of a reach. Allen was not rated as high the other CB's. Looking at the film of Bennett (thank God for cable internet), he seems like a speed back in the mold of Viper, but there looks to be a bit more shiftiness, ala Terrell Davis. What do you think?

I think Bennett is a great RB, and a great value (I still think Smoot was the right choice though). He should be able to really push Moe Williams for the starting job right away, and I expect him to be the guy by opening day. I really didn't see him play last season, so he is an unknown to me other then what I have read about him. If our O- Line can maintain it's dominance, then I don't see why a fast, strong back can't thrive.
