Their seemed to be a bit of noise from the macums during the minutes silence but it's hard to tell where it came from. The atmosphere was good like SJP a while back. Two poor teams on display, Arca is a bit special I cannot see Sunderland keeping him when Serie A become interested. With Dyer in our side we could have created something but the main thing is we never got beat. We were kept back for ages because our hosts wanted to see us on our way and the police had to move them back, around about 40 or 50 ran down the street towards our bus and were promptly beaten by the eager constabulary who appeared from nowhere. Our bus was pelted with rocks by some younger thugs on Wessington way but we got away unscathed (the bus behind fared worse). All in all a canny day out.

Our lot were not exactly angels, daubing SMB in the flooded toilets and pulling down signs, they wouldn't reopen the bar at half time for fear of more misbehaviour.

I hope the sky cameras caught that twat in your section who, during the minutes silence was making a conserted effort of (Keyshaking/V- Signs/wanker signs) trying to get the home fans to "bite" and shout at him (thank god we didnt)

Shame you're turning out to be so childish Mackem-lurker, not to say hypocritical; coming on a Newcastle group to slag off Newcastle fans for being provocative! yeah, right. Perhaps being outside the UK helps but it doesn't always have to be so bitter. Having taken the piss out of each others side for 90 minutes I ended up getting terribly drunk with a Mackem (until he started throwing-up at the bar that is). Mother of all hangovers now, thank God for Andy O'Brian, Shay, + paracetemol.....

The sensible reasonable person who last week posted as the occasional mackem lurker has always used exactly the same IP address to post from. Whether it was a few weeks ago or this week it has always been the same. This guy has been provocative in the same way as LR can be, he hasn't been abusive or merely here to chuck dirt.

The postings on this thread have NOT been from this guy, but from another who has also posted over the last few weeks, but always in an abusive tone.

I want to encourage the first guy to feel free to come on here and I'd hate it if he ends up getting abuse because of some idiot impersonating him.

It's fairly easy to tell the difference just by the tone of their comments, it may be that you all just decide it is best to purely ignore all postings under the "occasional ..." address, as starnge as it seems it could be one mackem just giving another one a bad name !!

I don't know Mac, I use a couple of different PC's as well. Maybe the OML at work is the sensible one, and the other (the same guy after a pint or two) is simply a moron. Had anyone been posting under my name, I would be the first to protest, and loudly. He hasn't said a word. But perhaps he will now that we have offered him a viable defence.

Let's all give OML the benefit of the doubt gang.

Despite being subjected to personal attacks, Macbeth is trying his damnedst to protect the guy, and create an environment where he - and indeed right-minded fans of any Club - can come on here and contribute to our discussions in a meaningful way.

Rather than seeking to censor, Mac is trying to protect free-speech on this bbs - so let's support his efforts.
