Pol- An Observation from Texas

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News : One Thread

Have spent the last couple of days in S. Texas, McAllen area, had a delivery to the free trade zone...

I heard on a talk radio station, out of Brownsville, by some bozo named Davis Rankin, what appeared to be an attempt to inflame Mex/Americans and Nationals. He alluded that this was the anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto, the defeat of Gen Santa Anna and the Mex army, the independence of Texas.

Said the Texas army murdered the mexicans, gave no chance for surrender (a lie). Called them blood thirsty..cruel..I finally turned the radio off. Guess the bastard never heard of the Alamo, the battle of Goliad...

But after reading the thread below about the hispanics gaining prominence as the minority, I wonder if someone is not out to stir them up, as is happening with the black race? Speaking half truths to those not willing to think for themselves?

Made me wonder if I saw the beginning of something.
