videoStudio 4.0 - MPEG-1 compression

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

If I capture from my camcorder to compurte (using videoStudio + ALL-IN-WONDER 128 Pro 32MB AGP) in MPEG-1 format, it takes 100mb/minute of video. Does anyone know how to reduce this file size. (I tried with different formats) Thanks in advance, Aji Paul.

There must be something wrong here. MPEG-1 format require 10MB/minute of video, not 100MB. Plus, it is not wise to capture directly in MPEG1 format. The quality would be terrible unless your capture card is an expensive MPEG encoder.
