Who will be listening to the game on the webcast?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I know that it's on live in Sky and probably every other country in the world (except for Japan) so will I be singing on my own tomorrow night?

Watching on Sky. Well I better bloody be because my girlfriend has repaid my compliment of taking her to the West Ham game by organising a trip to her Cousins!! They've got Sky so there had better be nothing arranged for between 5pm and 7pm.

I can come on at Half time because, unlike hiro if I sit in the lounge with the computer on my lap I will not be able to see the TV or even plug the computer into the phone line from the lounge!!!!

Ciara/Pete in Canada, the following is cut form NUFC.com - you might both want to check out your local viewing establishments.

Confirmation that the derby game is being beamed out by Setanta in the USA, and on pay per view in Canada. Fox Sports cover the match over in Oz, Bruce and Suzanne Hollingsworth telling us that they'll be tuned in at the All Star Sports Bar, Crown Casino, on Southbank in Melbourne. All welcome - ko is 2.15am local time.

Just in case this is an update on what you've already been told.

Thanks Ken, I know it's on Pay per view here on Sunday..on the Canadian small dish system (which I don't have). I will check out the local viewing establishments here in Calgary. Last word was that Setanta were NOT showing it live, but we know how they tend to fcuk things around.

Yep, just checked with setanta, 24 hour tape delay in N America and Canada, so no live telly for me.

Sorry to give you false hope.......how the hell can they justify pay- per-view for a taped delayed showing.

Surely the 'clever' way of doing it it to PPV for live coverage and then allow the taped recording to be shown for free when everyone knows the result.

Or am I just trying to be to obvious and simplistic.

This is America, ITK. And Setanta is run by MoanU supporters. Which is why tomorrow's "live" match in the pubs is actually a tape delay of....MoanU. Followed by Fox World's tape delayed broadcast of the Leeds match. It's been that way for the past 2 seasons whenever MU has an early ko. Though some places are opening up really early for the live broadcast at 7a.

I don't get it either. But yes, supposedly someone from SEtanta put word out earlier this week that they would carry our match live, and by the next day said no they weren't cause Fox was doing the ppv thing on Sunday. The guy I emailed at Setanta couldn't even explain that one!

WEE! Found a sports-bar just a few blocks away (moved in here yesterday) so no web-cast for me. Beers and telly ya!
