Metrorail Green Line Shut Down (KFWB) -- KFWB's Erin Kotecki reports that trains are running again on the Metrorail Green Line, which stretches from Norwalk to the Los Angeles International Airport. The line was shut down due to a power outage.

The MTA says buses are also servicing the entire Green Line route this morning, until service is fully restored. It is taking time for the trains to make their way through the route. The power outage hit three stations along the route.

The Hawthorne train yard was hit at 2:05am, the MTA said. The Hawthorne yard is where the trains are kept for the Green Line route, Kotecki says, and MTA workers were not able to put the trains on the rail.

More than four hours after the outage hit, the first train was finally placed on the track and power was restored. The cause of the outage is not known.
