The Weakest Link

Have you seen this new game show? It's like a season of survivor in one night. I watched it once, and that's enough for me! Tell me what you think!

There's a really bitchy host(ess - Anne Robinson). Is Robinson famous in the UK?

Feh! I was too busy watching my Spurs on their way to their second NBA championship. That and talking on the phone.

I hear she's really annoying, though.

That show rules! It is definitely staged in terms of the producers 'encouraging' the contestants to be rididiculously rude to each other and I keep waiting for Anne to say, "You don't know the answers? Out with your tongues!!" But it really is quite entertaining!

On another note, my signifcant other made an awesome roast beef! I couldn't believe how good it tasted. I almost had some for breakfast even. It was that damn good!

Never saw it Erika. Sounds interesting.

I started out flipping back and forth and watching bits and pieces till I finally gave in and watched the whole thing. It was like watching a train wreck, both compelling and repulsive at the same time.

It's amazing how all the contestents voted off thought they would have won if they had been allowed to stay and were the best players for the "good of the team". One contestent did not know the name of the US president and was surprised and upset that he got voted off.

The MC was a mighty good bitch to everyone equally though.

But in the end, I got the answers right on the playoff that the female missed so neener neener neener.

Well, I was so tickled at the promo's and the way she says "goodbye!" so quick and chirpy, I just had to watch. I basically hated it. I couldn't help but feel there has to be something really wrong with people who would allow themselves to be bashed and humiliated by the host like that, the audience laughing. Is it just for the money? The glory of being on t.v.? I just don't get it. The questions and show format (aside from bitch host) just aren't that compelling or original. For me if falls under the "I'll try anything once" category, but I won't be wasting my time on it again (of course, I've only watched "Millionaire" twice -- did anyone else notice it seems the same sound & lighting crew is being used for both Millionaire & Link?)
