Interesting Theory of What Probably Happened with the E3 and the Chinese Fighter

Bernoulli rides again!

Watching the interviews of the American flight crew was revealing. The American pilot described how the Chinese plane passed under their wing and its tail fin hit the American planeıs propeller. A contributing factor was obviously the Chinese pilotıs misjudgment about the amount of ³vertical tail feathers² trailing for 30 feet behind his cockpit but there is another less obvious effect which has not been considered by the experts in the media. The Bernoulli effect would create a low pressure between the wings of the two airplanes and cause the American planeıs wing to dip. With a three hundred mile an hour plus air flow between the two airplanes and the long moment arm of the upper wing, the Bernoulli force induced torque would be sudden and tremendous, overcoming the autopilotıs ability to respond and correct for it.

A surviving Chinese pilot said that the American plane seemed to deliberately roll into the Chinese fighter as it passed underneath; that is exactly what it would have looked like. We arenıt likely to hear about the Bernoulli effect in the media until they can find an aerodynamicist who looks like Faith Hill.

It's interesting that even though General Sealock visted our crew several times after the 2nd day, we were not given any account of their side of the story until after they returned home. Of course, that was after they stopped in Hawaii for 2 days of "debriefing", when our military commanders told them what they could and could not say.

Which is the way it must be. The security of the country comes before the public's "need to know" every detail.

The theory is valid. Lift occurs when the air pressure under the wing is higher than over the wing. If that difference in pressure is removed by the Chinese aircraft )the lower pressure over the top of his wing displacing the higher pressure under the American aircraft) then the wing would drop. This is clearly the fault of the Chinese pilot.

There is no logical justification for the Chinese claim that the American aircraft was at fault. The blatant effort of the chinese to put the blame on the Americans shows their depth of corruption and reliance on outdated and backward forms of controlling their population.

Their self imposed alienation from the rest of the world has harmed their ability to function in the world today.

They are in for a big surprise when culture shock hits the masses. People will be furious that they have been held back in the dark ages by their government and there could be mass uprisings as a result. The Chinese government is painting themselves into a corner, actually they have been for quite a while now. This situation with the aircraft's only serves to dig them in deeper. Their national effort to convince their people we were at fault is similar to the efforts we have been subjected to in an effort to discredit the last administration.

Of course! America is the most POWERFUL nation in the world! We can do NO wrong! We are ALWAYS right, and other countries are always wrong! No one can stand in the way of the ALMIGHTY military machine of America! Heil Dubya! Heil Dubya!!

He woke up on the wrong-side of his waterbed in his double-wide trailer that had its electricity cut off. That boy has got a serious case of sore-loser.

Cherri, thanks for the serious commentary on the theory.

Fuck all you idiots that like to hijack threads.

Hey Sleuth,

Cherri backs up the fact that the commie pilot was at fault. Looks like you are in the minority on this one. OOOPS a pun, get it - "minority"!!!

-- libs are idiots (moreinterpretation@ugly.com), April 18, 2001.

Idiot, where did I say or even imply that the Chinese pilot was not at fault? All I did was post a pilot friend's theory on the mechanics of what probably happened. The Chicoms were deliberately trying to terrorize our crew and one of them got himself killed. Luckily, our crew survived. I'm yet another Libertarian on this board who disagrees politically with Cherri but can still value her opinion on subjects she seems to know something about. I do snoop around for the truth.

Sleuth,

My humblest apologies. Mistook you for another poster.

Apology Accepted! I sometimes mitake or misinterpret things too. Thanks for bothering to post one.

Sleuth,

That was sarcasm you fucking idiot! ESAD

Idiot, I guess that I'm just not into sarcasm as much as you. We can't all be so sophisticated, or there wouldn't be a bell curve. How does it feel to be so superior?
