Coffee creams

My Husband is a coffee finatic, we are trying to make the perfect cup of coffee. He prefers cream, and he uses coffee mate, but it isn't doing it for him. What specific cream do you recommend most?

Depends on what you're trying to get. If you want a creamy taste, Coffee Mate, Half and Half or Heavy Cream are what you want. If you just want to take some of the acidity and bitterness out, you may need something lighter, like 2% milk.

There are no rules. Try everything and stick with what makes you (or him, in this case) happy. :)

Stephen,

You will be happy to hear that I have finally joined the ranks of coffee drinkers. No more instant for me! We bought a drip coffee maker and I use half regular columbian, and half decaff...and it works out great! No annoying heart palpitations and it tastes soooooo good...who whoulda thunk!

To shasta...we use half and half and it tasts mighty good!

Hi Shasta, I am a coffee addict getting through about 20 cups a day !However if I want a real treat I make a black coffee with real cream floating on the top.I'm not sure what this type of cream would be called in the USA .We have something here in Ireland called double cream. It comes in a small plastic pot & is found in the chill cabinet. It's not whipping cream or the disgusting stuff that comes out of an aerosol can. This cream is the consistency of thin yoghurt.Having made your black coffee you then pour the cream over the back of a spoon very slowly so the cream rests on the top of the coffee. Oh yes,you have to remember to add your sugar before the cream.
