Trying to get confirmation, but it's looking like our match may well get a live ppv airing on Satiddy after all! Not sure if that means pub-only or if it's available on home cable as well.

Well the British Embassy in Dc has confirmed it with Setanta, and it's also listed on the George and Dragon site out in Seattle. So it looks like it's true.Set yer alarm, Syme and get ready to SING YOUR HEART OUT FOR THE LADS! :-D

You mean they are showing it live??? I thought it was sunday only??
-- Anonymous, April 17, 2001
Syme - don't you even dare think about it. I'm thinking of getting a total embargo on the game in the Illinois and Michigan areas. Wisconsin has already agreed.

That's the case according to their site, so I'm still a tad sceptical. But the guy who sends out the weekly schedule from the Embassy said he'd gotten confirmation directly from Setanta, and it is listed on the site for a pub out in Seattle that shows all available matches. Check with your local to be sure.

Thanks for the headsup Ciara, but asking our locals if they know anything about the schedule is like asking screacher for a pint. what? who me? Whatever next ?

You'd think it would be simple, eh? Still saw no update to Setanta's online sched this morning so emailed them. They replied that they aren't showing the match, but Fox is showing it on Sunday. Now I'm completely confused. What say we just fly to Sydney and join up with the bbsers there? If we leave today we might just make it in time. ;-)

I was just about to email you saying that I spoke to Will at setanta who confirmed your story. Doesn't make any sense. If we leave now we can still catch it in oz

I'm 10min from BWI airport, I've got $18 in my purse, think that'll buy me a ticket? ;-)
-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001
Look Syme. I told you I had arranged a curfew in the IL, WI and M?. Now, I don't want to spoil things for the lads'n'lasses in Oz by getting an embargo there. If I promise to buy you a(nother) pint, will you promise not to watch the game? Pleeeeaaaaaaaaaaase.

:-PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP:-)

Its not on till sunday anyway!! so I am going to have to watch it on delay, or do you have a problem with that as well? Do you have a ticket?
-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001
I think Screach is trying to deflect attention from the fact that he is really the jinx. Didn't this all start after he visited? Hmmmmm.....;-)
-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001
Jinx. Me? Spurs away (oh, yes, I drove you there and back Ciara). I think that was the start of it, especially as you deserted (an admittedly sinking ship).I'll think about your excuse Syme. I'll let you know Saturday night - OK?
-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001
Deserted? Who drove me to the Villa replay? Hmph. Part timers. ;-)
-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001
Well, some of us do have a job to hold down................believe it or not. Remind me - hw many games have you been to this season? And don't tell me you flew in from the east coast - some of us flew in from MN to see us thashed ;-))
-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001
You hold down a job? don't make me laff, you spend more time in the air than anyone I know.
-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001
So, I'm light on my feet.
