Crowds gather as woman 'sees Virgin Mary in toilet'

Thousands of Nigerian Christians have gathered outside a toilet after a woman claimed she saw the Virgin Mary in it.

Soldier's wife Christiana Ejembi says she had a vision while she went to the toilet in her flat at the Sam Ethnam Air Force Base in Lagos.

She says the visions are now happening daily - and that the Virgin Mary is even giving her advice on crowd control.

Mrs Ejembi said: "I went to the toilet at around 5am and was shocked and overwhelmed by fear with the appearance of the Virgin Mary."

Authorities at the base have set up tight security to control the crowds.

Most visitors have been disappointed, though. On Easter Sunday, the Virgin Mary apparently only asked for three people to be allowed into the toilet at a time.

John Abbah, Mrs Ejembi's brother, told reporters: "We don't have her itinerary, but she could reappear at any time it pleases her."

Too funny, Barefoot! Some of those cleaners are awfully potent. I used to know this one guy who liked cleaning the bathroom because he got off on the smell of Pinesol. Today, he runs a cleaning business.
