Dyer to Man U?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

On 5 Live this morning heard that Ferg has come out & admitted that Dyer IS one of his targets. (Didn't actually hear HIM saying it, just a report that he did, so could be bollox)

If he does put in a bid, there is no doubt in my mind that we will sell. Why change the habit of a lifetime?

Same ol' same ol'

Another cut n shunt from MidasSoccer.com
Manchester United are poised to join the hunt for Kieron Dyer in the summer as Alex Ferguson looks to sign off as manger of the Champions with a bag full of trophies. The Manchester United boss is said to have a huge transfer kitty and wants to add the Newcastle midfielder to his squad, as he aims to leave the club that he has changed from a mid-table side the the preeminent club in the country with another table full of silverware. Leeds were the club that everyone believed would come in in the summer with a cash plus Michael Bridges offer to tempt Bobby Robson to part with the England man as he attempts to build a team that can compete with the best in the land. But it now seems that Old Trafford will be where Dyer will be earning his wages next season as Sir Alex makes an offer that Newcastle and Dyer can't refuse.

It'd have to be a lot of money they were offering!

"an offer we can't refuse" mmmmmmm

Wes Brown and Andy Cole in exchange thank you

Wes 'own goal' Brown? Not too sure about that one. Throw Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs in along with 100 mil and I'd consider it. ;-)

Sorry, Ciara, but if Keane and his hairy mate came, they'd be playing without my contribution to their salaries ;)

LOL! How bout if we include a clause in Giggs contract forcing him to keep his shirt on at all times. ;-)

unless he scores in the winning goal in a european final

28 Million Pounds. We don't need any one of their players. Then spend the total in the transfer market.

"We don't need any of their players"

Barthez v Given, GNeville v Barton, Silvestre v Quinn, Stam v O'Brien, Brown v Dabizas, Beckham v Solano, Keane v Lee, Scholes v Speed, Giggs v Dyer, Cole v Shearer, Yorke v Cort,

if we don't need any of those then what level are you aiming at in the transfer market with your £28m ?? We could get all of the bradford side, and probably all of the Man City side in total for the £28m.

well said Macbeth!

It's all very well supporting our own players but come on, we've got to be realistic here, would any of our players (exc Dyer) get in their FIRST team?

doubt it

Well MacB , i'd have Stam rather than O'Brien, Keane rather than Lee, Scholes rather than Speed, and you missed the sub Solksjear who I would prefer over LuaLua. Other than that they can keep thier shitty players.

Looks like he is already in training for the M60 racing with Becks as Midas has it that he has been done for doing 104mph on the A1M and faces the wrath of Bobby yet again.

This can't happen, but if it did then I'd love to see Giggsy at the toon, along with Scholes. They can keep Posh's other half. Anyway can you really see anyone wanting to move from a team which is PL champs for a 3rd year in a row, still in the running for the Champions League title and in the compo again next year, for a team who is struggling to avoid relegation for the 3rd year in a row?

But Giggs, man?

Kia Ora.. "Wes 'own goal' Brown? Not too sure about that one"
