That's right folks, I ate a Chocolate Rock in just under 4:30 shattering my old mark of 4:50 by more than 20 seconds.

I also broke the 300 chocolate rock weight limit for the first time in my life. Retirement is fun if you add whip cream and nuts.

P.S. Just because I am going to make an appearance at an O meet this weekend, it should not be considered an indication I am coming out of retirement.

Let us hope for better live on-line coverage of Dan's next attempt at a record.

This weekend I was myself training hard by eating Giradelli chocolate. Everyone knows this is the world's best chocolate, and it gives evidence that we have some of the best supermarkets in the world, not matter what the Chinese may say. Sure you can not buy snake gall bladders in Albertsons, but you can buy Giradelli chocolate there, and who wants fresh snake gall bladders anyway, with the snake's carcass still writhing in the butcher's hand? Not me! This also points out the futility of a boycott against Albertsons. BOycotting Albertsons is like boycotting Giradelli chocolate, the world's most delicious chocolate!

Anyway, you can tell I trained hard over the weekend because I ate both white and semi-sweet varieties. I did not become addicted, but I do believe "I Want To Be Sedated".

It is too baaaddd (no I'm not worried about HMD) Albertson's doesn't sell chocolate rocks, then this would be a perfect world. P.S. The day an orienteering meet is canceled for fear of HMD is the day I retire. Opps.
