20mm or 24mm

Hi,

My name is Roel Vlemmings. I don't have too much photography experience. I am looking to buy a wide-angle lens and am doubting between the Canon EF 20mm and the EF 24mm. I already have 28-105. I travel a lot in Asia and Middle-East and like to take architecture / documentary slide shots, but many a times 28mm just doesn't cut it, plus a prime lens will give much better quality for wide angle shots. Is 24mm going to give me a much wider view compared to 28mm or is it better to go for 20mm? I also concerned that 20mm will give an unnatural look, or does that just depend on how you use it?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated,

Roel Vlemmings

if you already have the 28-105, i don't see the reason to get the 24. to me, the difference between 24 and 28 is too small. and yes, you are correct in the 20 might be too unnatural. but between the two, i like the 20 alot more (color, sharpness, built, USM etc). the 20 is more expensive then the 24 ($430 to $300), for the same price you can also look into the 20-35 zoom.
