Ipswich Match Thread

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just thought I'd start it. Won't be around for the match as I'll be on my way to DC for WUSA festivities. A perfect day for a match over here. Clear, blue skies, not humid, and temps in the upper 60's - low 70's. A shorts and t-shirt kind of day. :-)

I expect to come home to read about our win and Cort's hat trick! HOWAY THE LADS!

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Why can't Barton defend yet? He's been practising for the last 15 years as a pro footballer.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

When did Warren become a pro footballer?? Have I missed something was he promoted?

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Why can't we defend more to the point

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Gallacher on the bench, not Ullathorne. (according to Sky TV)

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Why can't Speed play with both feet? He's been practising as a Pro footballer for the last 15 years.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Still on target for 31 nil, but we are gonna have to start scoring once every two and a half minutes.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Yes Rik you pretty much do. I have lost it a couple of times so far due to net congestion, but the last time it went off it was still apparently bradcasting OK. I just copped off and went back in via the Orrificial site and it came up OK.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Alun Armstrong just set up Magilton, poor shot at Given.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

So what make was the streaker then Rik.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Was ref at Highbury for the 0-5

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

That's it, head out of the china bowl after that advert at half time.....my god, a Tom Jones sound alike extolling the virtues of the Vardy tw@t.

Spurs have scored again!

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Shame when the highlight of our match thread is the Mackem game eh!!!!!

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

This is just getting beyond a joke

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Depressing - good night all!

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

What do we do now......I know its highly unlikely that we will go down, but we are getting sucked closer and closer to the relegation dog-fight.

When the chips are down, the policy of not buying because of the doubt about the future of the transfer system has to be loooked to as the biggest mistake that Sheppard and Hall made this season and will be their definite undoing if the worst does happen.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

I'm depressed. Didn't sound like we played too badly and as usual the ref did us no favours. :-(( We've now got to pick ourselves up for Monday.

-- Anonymous, April 14, 2001

Well , I just woke up to hear Mick Martin say, Atleast we've got only one tricky away game left (at Pool) The Other away game is at the SOL so there's 3 points, and the other 5 games are all at home. That's 15 points in the bag innit? We'll finish with 57 points then?
