Lancy

Living where I do its in the local papers - I reckon Trafford council are Blues.

Just sue the council when they close the seats. As a Trafford tax payer is there anything I can do to help you guys ?

Howay lads...it's the Jormans. Of course we want to see the Jormans get beat.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2001

You may have the wrong end of the stick Pete...they're closing down sections of my stand.

Yeah Josh...you can join a march on the town hall :-)

Don't get much news over here LR, whats the deal with the seats??

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2001

Trafford council are closing down a section of the Stretford if we have another European game (i.e. beat Bayern), due to persistent standing.

Congratulations on the title.

That sounds like a pretty dumb plan, but then again we are talking local authorities here aren't we. I would like to see the WHOLE ground stand and see what they do. In fact I would like to see the crowds at every premiere club stand in protest.

Yep, I'll join Softie in offering my congratulations on winning the PL again, Andy. Well done to your lot.

Cheers lads...kinda felt sorry for Cov today. They played well, deserved something purely cos it was a great game and then the rest of today's results go against 'em.

BTW Pete...there's been PLENTY of times when the whole of OT is on their feet.....e.g.

When Newcastle play in a semi When the Rugby League final is played there when Songs of Praise is hosted at OT...etc etc (50,000 Christians going mental)

Lanky, you make me smile :-)))

Nice one LR.........yet another feather in the proverbial! (:o)

-- Anonymous, April 15, 2001

Well done LR. Congratulations (again)

Ditto from Hong Kong.

Enjoy, L.R.

Yes, another convincing title victory. Well done for supporting ManU, LR!!! Good luck in the european cup, I hope you get everything you deserve.

Yawn! Howay LR, admit it - winning the EPL is boring. Hows about going on a slightly extended tour of SA next season and ducking out of it? It'll do English football the world of good ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 15, 2001

Screach....we'll only go if the FA and Kate Howey ask us to go....otherwise it's business as usual :-)

-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001

LR, I think you may be disappointed next season: I have this awful feeling that Liverpool might pip you to it. I loathe Liverpool (well, their fans mainly, coming as they mostly do from Aberdeen and County Cork) but I have this gutwrenching feeling that they are going to win the league next season.

-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001

Well Douggie...they have been saying that themselves for the last three years. Let's wait and see........21 points difference or something as it stands now....can't see a massive leap forward next year myself.

-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001

I don't see it either LR....Liverpool in flashes have been good this year but they're still piss poor on an awful lot of occasions....they've got a mountain to climb to get anywhere near you...

Leeds will challenge more next season if they don't have the same injury riddled start....but even they won't get that close...

As far as I can see, it's Man Utd's to throw away....

-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001

Depressing isn't it. Haven't finished this season yet and NH by all accounts are already 2001/2 league champions :-((

-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001

Gav...when we played Leeds earlier in the season and whacked 'em, nobody that I knew was blowing trumpets...at that time they were riddled with injury. They have proved themselves a much better team that I first thought and next season is gonna be a cracker.....feck me, they may even be European Champions ....lol

-- Anonymous, April 18, 2001

Dougal i'll give you good odds that Liverpool won't win the league next year. Fancy a flutter.

They are a team who have flattered to deceive for years now. They win a few games against the better sides and then get turned over against weaker sides. Their problem like everyone else in beating Man U to the title is consistency and belief

Bake - I bet thet's the best offer Doug's had since she moved back to Consett. Nice to see romance isn't dead. Ooh - floods!

;-)

Have to laugh. No, not at the performance but the pre-match photo. Aunty showed the team line up this morning on "Breakfast". The 11 in the starting lineup were there, but on the left, next to Andrew Cole, there was another unrecognisable figure. Wearing number 7, with "Cantona" on his shirt, he had slipped past security and just stood on the end of the line. Keaneo spotted him, but apparently Andrew missed him (no surprise there then).

Brilliant!

Yeah it's on the front page of the sun....how funny!!

-- Anonymous, April 19, 2001

We've had 11 of them on the pitch at times this season.

-- Anonymous, April 19, 2001

Here he is:

And Andrew still misses it!
