I am trying to find out information about J. Huaret. I do not know his first name or anything else. This information is required for a graduate level research course. J. Huaret contributed somehow to research in the field of psychology. Any information or guidance is appreciated. Thanks, Jocelyn

I suspect you mean Juan Huarte (1529-1588), a Spanish physician best known as the author of _The Examination of Men's Wits_ (1575). There is a passage about Huarte on p. 75 of David J. Murray's _A History of Western Psychology_ (2nd ed., 1988). There is also a short webpage about him at http://www.indiana.edu/~intell/huarte.html

I think there is also a short reference to Juan Huarte de San Juan at D.K. Detterman (1982) Does 'g' exist? Intelligence, 6, 99-108. There are of course many other references in spanish! But I am not quite sure if they would be any helpful. Best wishes
