Homeowner's Tool Kit

Let's add to our tool kit. Every homeowner's tool kit should have a plumber in it, well at least a plumber's phone number. We never think about who we will call until the emergency is on us. Keep the numbers of those you will need when in need handy. If you don't have a plumber or electrician, talk to friends and get the name of someone they use and trust. Trade professionals are not much different from other professionals; many are not taking new clients or only respond to emergencies for established customers. Develop a relationship with the trade professionals you might need in an emergency. Consider scheduling an appointment for routine service so they will know you and your house when a problem comes up.
