Good to see.

Newcastle United have announced this afternoon that they have made a donation to the Johannesburg Disaster Fund after last night's tragic incident where more than 40 football fans lost their lives.

The disaster happened at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg where two of South Africa's most popular teams, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were playing. The game itself was abandoned after 34 minutes of play with the score standing at 1 - 1.

Newcastle United Chairman Freddy Shepherd said:

"We feel it only right and proper to be making a donation to the Disaster Fund for what was such a tragic occurrence.

"As a fellow football club, we send our sincere condolences to the families and friends of all those who lost their lives at the game."

Nice to hear the good things about the club. Even if in this case it's under tragic circumstances.
