greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News : One Thread

Finally! After searching through my bookmarks, e-mails, blah, blah, I made here! Lotsa things happening! I'm located in the middle of a bankrupt utility company with daily warnings that my lights are about to be turned off! Tee hee! With all the candles, lamp oil, kerosene, propane, and TP and beans I have, let it snow, let it blow, let it glow! LOL! How is everyone doing? Bardou!

Okay, you'll see your name mentioned in that thread. Brooke (Wilferd) may be around but Brooks is computer-deprived at night. Barefoot is working, Maggie is usually about, checking on earthquakes and such, there's SAR01, Beckie, Gordon, Sheeple, David Whitelaw, Meemur, Carl, Big Wave Dave, Green Co., Peter Errington, Carlos--good heavens, LOADS of oldtimers, I couldn't possibly list them all! Y'all say hi to Bardou, dammit!

hi bardou... don't pay any attention to anything Old Git says about me...

Got any naked pictures?

-- Anonymous, April 12, 2001

YO, Bardou! So good to see ya! Been wondering when you'd stop in, but remembered from the last time we talked that you said you'd been BUSY! Glad to see you found some time to hunt us down. . . :-)

Hi Bardou! glad to see ya found the place.

didn't Git tell ya to hang a right by ole Johnson's farm? you know, where the Piggly Wiggly was before the fire? heh heh

Carl, you never asked me for naked pictures! Like I'd share any with you now! LOL

Just got on line after a grueling day at work. you wouldn't believe how many idiot voters there are that don't know how to put a stamp on their IRS return. LOL And no return address, usually. Idiots!

Takes a while for us to get around to opening those things and sending them back. LOLOLOL Hope they don't owe!

[Git, she isn't quite as you described her....where is the thinning grey hair and all the wrinkles? And she doesn't look as big as a house, either.]

Bardou,

HI! How the heck are you? It has been a long time. Hope things are well.

Jump right in, the water is the right temperature!

"Brooks is computer-deprived at night" Actually worse than that. Used to just be that it was deathly slow and not worth browsing for news items to post. As of a few nights ago it won't let me get online at all. Looks like time for a replacement, but it's not a real high priority right now. (After all, I have my beloved Red Sox to babysit me most evenings.)

Bardou! So glad you're here amongst us! Yes, do give us your take on life in sunny, but intermittently glowing, Calif these days. Sounds like you're still well prepared.

Hi Bardou! Seems like old home week with you here. So glad you found the place. Now, if the King of Spain were to show up, with the offer to mud wrestle...

-- Anonymous, April 12, 2001

hiya Bardou...

you wouldn't remember me.....but i remember you!

glad you made it

: )

Hi Bardou, glad you found the path to this place.

Carl, have you considered starting to ask about "mud wrestling" or something along that line as your trademark? Always did like that one!

opps.. my mistake, I was thinking Bardot... wrong spelling. Oh well...

Actually BFM, I was looking to be titillated, not traumatized....

Nobody ever knew who the King of Spain was. I wish I knew how to get him over here but not even Diane knew who he was.

The nekkid pictures is a pretty good schtick, Carl.

But the King didn't want to partake in the mudwrestling, he only wanted to watch. Why would I mudwrestle with another woman for his enjoyment??

Besides, the scum never asked me. :-(

-- Anonymous, April 12, 2001

Well, a king is kinda like a despot. . . Mind you, that is NOT to say I would enjoy watching anybody mudwrestle. But everybody knows royal families are, well, Not Like Us, and despots aren't always royal.

Yep, I've been busy. I was caring for my neighbors elderly father-in-law, he got too obnoxious for me to handle so we put him in a rest home. I have more free time on my hands now. I am still prepared, I've used up 1/2 of the TP - man that stuff lasted longer than I thought it would! HA! The big concern here in CA of course is the power situation. My husband works for PG&E - everyone freaked when they filed for bankruptcy. We are hoping the judge rules in the company's favor, and so far it appears the bankruptcy is going good. Gooberman Davis was pissed, it threw a monkey wrench in his facist plans for California. His career is over here, and I wouldn't be surprised if he got tossed out before his term is up. It amazes me how people are buying low-voltage light bulbs instead of candles, lamp oil, etc. I'll be checking in from time-to-time. Have a good Easter everyone! Bardou
