DT PREDICTIONS COMPETITION - IPSWICH (away)greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
DAILY TOON PREDICTIONS COMPETITION MATCH 32 – IPSWICH (away) After so many blank weeks of no games recently, we are suddenly hit with two in two days. The first of these comes along on Saturday when we travel to Portman Road to take on the Tractor Boys of Ipswich.
We have a pretty good record at Portman Road in the PL having played there twice (93/94 and 94/95) and achieving one draw and one win.
Mind you, that was when we were playing well, and they were hanging on in the first season and being relegated in the second. The boot is on the other foot this time round and while we are not really threatened with relegation, they are playing very well, and indeed have serious European aspirations.
So what's it gonna be this time round - Win, lose or draw, correct result and the goal scorer, go on, have a try, it doesn't hurt, it doesn't cost anything and most of all its harmless fun. Just post you prediction below and the system will automatically enter you into the game.
Closing time for the competition as usual is 15 minutes prior to kick off.
The results in the previous matches have been:
93/94: Draw 1-1
94/95: Win 2-0Good luck

I don't think that I've ever predicted a defeat for us, so no reason to start now. We win, 2-1. Shola & Speed.

Well, I thought I was gonna be alone (sniff, sniff) on this, but it seems the chocolate has kicked in early with you lot (apart from Rik who appears to be on something else - Kangaroo steaks??). We're gonna win. Did you hear that? We're gonna win. Ipswich 1 Newcastle 1, until the last minute when we'll sneak the winner. Stewart Marcus will score first, but Shola and Bollocks will turn it round. Honest.
