Jerky picture as the final edited dv transfer back to Sony DV

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Help !! I managed to capture and edit the DV from my sony DV camcorder to my Sony Vaio using the fire wire. The problem comes when I tried to transfer the final cut back to the DV camcorder using the same fire wire, the video jerks so much and yet it plays normally on the computer. I'm using adobe premiere 6.0 by the way.

Thanks in advance

Who is the maker of your firewire card?

Been here, done this. It's the general speed of your system. I replaced the slow Sony default harddrive and BAM. Everything works fine now. Who's the moron who thought that the firewire, which is a standard, none are all that different that the rest, was the problem?

Yes. The harddrive was too slow for playing back. I use the Athlon 1.5 GHZ now, it works beautifuly. I wonder why Sony just sell the products without testing them. Uhhhh www.homanns.com
