British comedian and singer Sir Harry Secombe, seen in costume for
his role as Mr. Pickwick in the stage musical "Pickwick", in this
July 7, 1963 file photo, died aged 79, Wednesday April 11, 2001,
according to an announcement by his daughter Jenny in London. Secombe
was best known as a member of the Goons, with Peter Sellers, Spike
Milligan, and Michael Bentine, and for his film role as Mr. Bumble in
the musical "Oliver!".
