Have just recently arrived in Hong Kong and have a twofold question. Firstly what is the latest on NUFC coming here? Secondly is there any meeting place for TOON fans on the preferably or anywhere here?? Greetings

Dere

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Greenspun BBS. Is you posting in direct answer to the E Mail I sent you earlier, or had you discovered us before I sent it.

Anyway, in relation to point one, the 'tour' to the Far East is apparently on hold at the moment, subject to our possible inclusion in the Intertwobob Cup, (god forbid thatw e should actually go into it) but there is also some problem with us not being able to guarentee Shearer and Dyer will take part in any matches, so the people out there are holding back on signing a deal.

Point two, there are a few people here in HK who you may come across and get your self sorted out a meeting place.....step forward Budwiser, Val, Fifties and at a push Kegsy.

Anyway Derek, good to have you on board.....'speak' to you soon.

I stayed in HK for a while on a backpacking trip & worked in Joe Bannanas Bar, you'll get a fair few toon lads along with obnoxious ex- pats in there. HK Football Club has a few geordie lads as members as well as ex-QPR star & regular Hong Kong footie celeb Tony Sealy. As for true toon bars, you'll be lucky. My Brother lives there 7 is sometimes seen in B&W but he tends to stay in Disco bay or at the football club. Have fun...
