I bet 6 yellow and 2 red the nite.
It'll be the dirtist game of the season. God how the NE needs us.

I think I'll be really nice to my girlfriend this evening and let her watch Eastenders, Jamie Oliver and Ally McBeal!

Nothing else worth watching that I can see.

You're clearly a 'new man' DB. Me? I'd watch 11 monkeys chasing a football round a pitch before watching Ally McBeal - so I'll be on Sky Sports 1 tonight!!

Not coming to KP clarky? Shame on you! ;-)

New Man? I din't actually say I'll be watching Ally McBeal WITH her! Although Lucy Lui is worth watching any time of the day.

I may retire to the study for a night on Championship Manager! Unless someone rings me with a better offer of six pints down the local, musing over the drunkness of the weekend or the weather gets so good tonight that I can seed my patchy lawn!

So what scoreline are you hoping for? A win for the Mackems would keep us further from the Relegation Zone, but I can't stand the thought of them improving thier position. Personally I hope it's 0 - 0.

Boro desperatley need these three points, especially with Coventry looking as if they are preparing for another Great Escape.

I'd rather see Boro win.

I could handle a Boro win, especially if it's three or four nowt. Keep in mind we still want to finish above the monkees, and yes we can. We are only nine points adrift, with a game in hand.

Wishful thinking but our form has been so crap maybe the only way is up, Quinn is coming back for them soon so they'll probably start winning again.

If the Mackems lose tonight they are on a big slide!

Is it possible for both teams to lose?

-- Anonymous, April 09, 2001

Well, a Boro win tonight and a win for us at the SoS would close that gap. We've got to have some good luck soon.......

What did ya say screach? can't hear ya me ears are still ringing from last night.

-- Anonymous, April 09, 2001

As syme suggests, both teams losing would be a result for us!
In the unlikely event this happens, we'll just have to settle for 5-5 - at least it'll make it worth watching.

13min in and you're prediction is well on the way to happening, heed. 3 yellows already and a good few hard tackles. ;-)

I think I'll skip the second half. The only person on the pitch I felt any empathy with was the referee. The Canal+ Dutch commentator's line 'it does at times sort of resemble a football match' raised a smile at least.

That's scary considering it's D'Arseho. And heed...up to 6 yellows. Now for the 3 reds....

-- Anonymous, April 09, 2001

Well, Karembeau is off. Added-on time being played. 6 yellows for Smogs and 3 for the filth. They should all be banned.

The Smoggies were absolutely hopeless 1st half, but Windyass still contrived to miss two excellent chances. SK hit the post with the best chance of the half - should have been 2-1 at the break.
Boro were the better team 2nd half, with Boksic and Ricard twice, missing good chances. Could easily have finished 3 or 4 one to the Smoggies.
I started off believing I wanted a draw, but after one nano-second was behind the Smoggies!

I'm surprised it took you that long Clarky ;-)

I didn't see the first half (too busy working) but caught the second. I reckon Boksic must be a closet Mackem. I mean, two against us and he misses easier chances against The Filth. Bah. This world just isn't fair.
