Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that I've had some unexpected health problems flare up over the weekend so I'm going to be away from the forum for a couple of days while I (hopefully) get things taken care of.

At this time I don't believe it's anything serious but I need to get it resolved quickly.

Consequently I won't be moderating or contributing to the forum for a couple of days but hopefully I'll be back on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Have fun while I'm gone... And I hope to see a lot more posts to the forum when I return. :-D

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for all the support and kind words. It really made my day to see all the support from you guys. :-D

I just wanted to update you on what's going on. After a myriad of tests and looong office waits I'm finally scheduled for surgery (hopefully outpatient) tomorrow at noon.

The doctors are thinking that one or more of the allergy drugs I was on exacerbated a previous medical condition - namely a urethral stricture (or a narrowing of the urethra).

Since I couldn't pee very well this irritated all the rest of my plumbing (from the kidneys on down). They're going in tomorrow to see if the stricture needs to be dialated. Thankfully they're doing a spinal on me so I won't feel a thing during the procedure.

So, with all this going on, I probably won't be back to the forum for a few more days. But you guys seem to have things well in hand so that won't be a worry for me.

BTW, I've taken a little time to read some of the threads and I've enjoyed them immensely (especially the Life Philosophy thread).

You guys take care and I'll hopefully see you on Saturday or Sunday.
