is there any particular film/dev combo that will hold together ok to get 8x10s or 11x14s in 35mm for iso 1000-1600 range?i have some tmax 3200, delta 3200, neopan 1600, and tri-x i could use and want to get concert shots that will be enlargable, i've shot a roll of tmax 3200 (at 3200) in this situation before but have to keep it a bit under 8x10 for it to look good
thanks for any tips

I have had some good results from Delta 3200, but you're right - 10x8 does start to show up the limitations.I have recently been trying out the New version of Delta 400. It is important that it is the new version (Lime Green writing rather than Dark Green, and a red "New" flash on the box) - as I have not had quite so much success with the older version.
I have pushed this film up to 1600, and found it very good indeed. Sharp, and fine grained, with a good range of tones. Admittedly I am using 6x7 film, but you should still find it good on 35mm.
I've found good results processing in Ilfotec-DDX, but have also seen excellent results using XTOL.
Hope this helps!

Dev times are given for New Delta 400 up to 3200, but I've never tried it myself. I suspect it would be good for the speed. Be interested in knowing results if you try this!

Try developing TMZ in Tetenal Negafin. This will give very fine grain, although at the expense of sharpness. By the way, I do not have problems with grain. It's just the tribute you have to pay to the poor lightning. I think the mood one captures without flash is more than compensating.Cheers, Peter.
