DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - General Motors Corp. plans to recall 6,000 sport utility vehicles because of a safety concern over a suspension part, telling drivers of the models to stop driving them immediately.

GM also will temporarily idle the plant that produces the vehicles: 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazers, 2002 GMC Envoys or 2002 Oldsmobile Bravadas.
