HELP - Info on Canon EOS Rebel (model prior to Rebel G)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a Canon EOS Rebel that doesn't have a built in flash. I'm guessing this is the model before the G. I'm looking for tech specs on it, such as what type of metering system used, etc.

any leads would be appreciated

thx,

Joe

It may be the EOS "Kiss," 1000, 1000N, or Rebel depending on the year or country it was designed for. Try the Canon Camera Museum:

It could be the original Rebel or the Rebel II or the Rebel X. The ones with a flash had an "s" after the name. The non USA versions were called EOS 1000, 1000N or 500. The ones with a flash had an "f" after the name. The EOS 500N/Rebel G all had a built in flash.
