Hi, my name is Meg Olson, and I'm a senior at Rutgers University. Currently, I'm enrolled in an anthropology class called Human Aggression, and our final project is a research paper of our choice. Because I love dogs and spend much time with two wonderful Standards, Boots and Reggie O'Neill of Pennington, NJ, I've decided to research how owners train their dogs, establish themselves as the alpha, etc. I'm also interested in the pack mentality of dogs.(I've always had one Springer Spaniel, because, as we all know, one springer is more than enough!) For instance, what's going through Boots' head when I give Reggie an extra hug, why does he bark and carry on? What's going on when they eat out of eachothers' food dishes? I welcome training tips, suggestions of training literature, and anecdotes about your poodle(s). Thanks! Meg
