GEN - Questions about the Plane

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News : One Thread

First, I saw Senator Inhofe on Fox News a bit ago, and he more or less agreed that our service men/women are hostages. He wouldn't talk much about a closed door meeting that he had just come from. Gotta hand it to the man, because he consistantly says what he is thinking, and more often than not, he is correct.

Now on to my questions/thoughts/brain farts...

The nose of the plane is missing, that we know. It looks like it has been unbolted. Could it be possible that the crew blew it from the plane before they landed, so that the they couldn't get the equipment that was contained there? I know that some planes use plastic explosives to start fire suppressant systems, why not use them to rid the plane of sensitive equipment if needed?

Second, how long should the US wait until they do go in and get the men and women? Should we at all?
