Has this ever happened to you, and how did you deal with it?

My friend called me up this morning and asked me to take her to the doctor. She was 10 weeks pregnant and was bleeding profusely- We went and he confirmed a miscarriage.

I feel so bad for her, because I'm 21 weeks pregs now, and she'd been trying for quite a while- I felt guilty. Then I came home and the cat had popped out 4 kittens in my closet.

Well, the day I came home from the hospital with my first son, I spoke to a friend who was about 8 weeks pregnant and she'd been spotting. Later that week she found out that the embryo had died and had to have a d&c. I just kind of followed her lead - called to show my concern, but was careful not to mention my own child unless she asked. It's a hard thing, 'cause it sucks when friends are hurt and it sucks to feel guilty about feeling happy for yourself.

I've hd 2 miscarriages, one when I was 19 and one just about 6 months ago. Each time I got preg it was cause I fucked up with my birth control - I'm really not that good at taking it everyday (I know, I know....).

I feel kinda sleazy sayin' this, but GLAD I had miscarriages - cheaper than an abortion, you know. I don't even really feel bad about it, like, a child of mine died. I guess that proves the fact that some of us shouldn't become mothers, don'tcha think?

The recent miscarraige was really weird. It was an eptopic pregnancy that was dying little by little. Creepy, huh? They finally gave me a shot to "clean me out"

Well, they do say that miscarriages happen for a reason, and that it's usually just your body rejecting an unviable embryo. Still, if it is a planned and/or wanted pregnancy - it's gonna hurt. I can totally relate to being unhappily pregnant (um, have terminated twice), but it's a hard call to read other people's reactions/emotions.

SweetJane you're lucky you caught that tubal pregnancy - that can be so dangerous!
