Serves the bastard right!

I am all for English teams doing well in europe (Except Manure and the makems if they get in)and I couldn't help but smile to myself when I found out that Manure had been beaten at home. Who does SAF think he is by saying shite like "our season begins here" who is so arrogant as to dismiss everyone else? I hope the bastards do go crashing out and leeds win it. This mans arrogance just chokes me.

Gee Alex I am sorry that the other twenty teams in the premiership are not worthy of your hallowed presence. Wonder what lame excuse he will come up for not winning? We had a tough game on saturday? the trip from london was a long one.

My sentiments exactly Syme, it's their (esp. Harry Potter's)arrogance that riles me most.

I'm disappointed (occasionally!) with myself that I should want an English team to lose; having said that, I can't wait to hit the bars tonight and rub it in the faces of those Sinagaporean, glory hunting, tw*ts!

A couple of snippets from Sporting Life:

"...and before kick-off the Old Trafford PA system boomed out 'Barcelona'". ( = arrogance?)

"Cole then squandered a great chance when he mishit a volley after Beckham had found him unmarked in the area." (= par for the course?)

"...David Beckham received his third booking of the competition for a foul on Stefan Effenberg which rules him out of the return leg. (Ditto?)

"Ferguson had claimed before the match that United's season starts now - but after this display it looks probable that it will all be over in a fortnight's time." (say no more!)

Syme....hang on a sec. Let's face it...our season really did start (and stop) last night. Out of the domestic cups...runaway in the PL and as we've been told by countless fans.."only the CL to lookforward to"

The fact that U can "support" Leeds, Arse and Loonypool yet want us to fail seems a tad shallow. Tonight I'm behind the English.

Lancy

What was the crowd like last night ? Apparently the Turks got Galatasary going and they came back to beat Real.

LR, I was wondering where you'd been hidin' had seen any post from you for a while, still nice of you to come out and play after a defeat.

By the same token though, you don't hear Wenger/houllier/O'leary saying that their season only begins with the CL, even though they are miles behind you lot in the league. In fact wenger said that he didn't think arsenal would get into the Quarters of the CL.

Perhaps I got the wrong end of the stick but SAF comments just choked me, it's as if he thinks Manure are so far ahead of everyone else that if it were up to him you season would start with automatic inclusion in the quarter finals of the CL and everything else is a mere annoyance.

Not so much arsenal. I'd like to see leeds and pool win though.

Michael jordan once said that he only wanted to play in the playoffs and that he found the regular season boring. Excuse the feck out of me michael, did we pay you too much respect. Not a very good parallel I know but the best I could do.

That was another strange thing....United were buzzin' last night. K- Stand rocked and the Stretford led the way....yet that "will United score...they ALWAYS score"? just wasn't there.

Syme, he's always stated that the League is the most important. He mentians bread and butter in the same sentence but he may be talking about sticky duff.
