Quinn on Saturday?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I missed the second half of the web cast on Saturday but saw the brief highlights on MOTD. Can anyone who was at the match on Sat comment on Quinn's performance? With Carbone playing on the right and ensuring Wayne's impending appearance on Soccer AM's nutmeg files, Quinn had his hands full, yet he still managed to get forward to get at least two very good crosses in. Was Speed making sure the gap behind Quinn was covered when Quinn got forward? If this is the case then why don't we just play Quinn on the left side of midfield and Barton at left back? Tell Barton so stick to defending and let Quinn stay wide and ping the crosses in. Sure theycan try to mark him out of the game but at least we'd be pulling one of their defence wide, creating space for our forwards and the likes of Acuna and Speed to get forward.
